Netropolis team reviewing capital allocation models in a modern office

Disciplined capital management, built on evidence

Netropolis was founded to give businesses a rigorous, data-led way to manage surplus capital between contracts — without guesswork and without hype.

Why Netropolis exists

Many businesses hold surplus capital between contracts in low-yield accounts simply because the alternatives feel opaque or risky. Netropolis was built to change that — applying the same backtesting discipline used in institutional finance to a product sized for operating businesses.

We are not a bank, and we are not a speculative trading platform. We build and test allocation models, publish our methodology, and give businesses a transparent framework for putting idle capital to work while contracts are being negotiated or delivered.

Capital shouldn't sit idle between contracts

Our mission is straightforward: help businesses deploy surplus capital with the same rigor they apply to their core operations — measured, backtested, and reviewed on a defined schedule.

The principles behind every model we build

Evidence over opinion

Every allocation approach we offer is backtested against historical data before it is presented to a client. We do not rely on forecasts dressed up as certainty.

Transparency by default

Clients see the methodology and assumptions behind each model, not just a headline figure. Clear reporting is a baseline expectation, not an add-on.

Capital preservation first

Surplus capital exists to fund a business's next move. Our approach to risk reflects that: preservation of capital is weighted ahead of chasing returns.

From a simple question to a structured process

Netropolis grew out of a recurring problem seen across project-based businesses: capital sitting between contracts with no clear, well-tested plan for its interim use.

01

Identifying the gap

We saw businesses defaulting to low-yield holding accounts purely because the alternatives lacked clarity or rigor.

02

Building and testing

We developed allocation models and backtested them against historical market conditions before offering them to any client.

03

Refining with clients

Every engagement sharpens our process. Models are reviewed and reported on a defined cadence, not left to run unexamined.

A focused group, working one layer deep in the data

Netropolis is run by a small team covering quantitative modelling, risk oversight, and client reporting. We stay close to the methodology rather than delegating it away, so what clients see reflects how the models actually behave.

Backtesting and model development

Responsible for building, stress-testing, and documenting each allocation approach before it is made available to clients.
